Extraordinary and exciting kick-off concert for the new Demiourgos Festival XXIX Edition and for the Concerts in Villa Tesoriera VIII Edition, created by the Artistic Cultural Association IPPOGRIFO, with the Artistic Direction of Luigi Di Cesare. (…) Thursday 22 October 2020, in the elegant and historic setting of the prestigious Concert Hall of the “Andrea della Corte” Civic Music Library, in Villa Tesoriera, sold out for the public, (…) for a concert of artistic and technical excellence. Performing the qualitative Isakar Duo, composed by Isabella Stabio, soprano and alto saxophones and Carmelo Luca Sambataro, piano. […] The program entitled “First and Second Nineteenth Century for saxophone and piano” presented a panorama of music of great charm and technical and artistic consistency of R. Schumann, L. A. Mayeur, G. Fauré, C. Debussy. The performance of the Duo was commendable, precise, intense and brilliant, with technical and interpretative accuracy. The artistic inspiration of the two performers was great, (…). The saxophonist showed off a dazzling and overwhelming virtuosity, in particular in the fantasies about “Rigoletto” and “The Carnival of Venice” by Mayeur. Warm and vibrant sound, especially in Fauré’s “Pavane”. Technical and artistic maturity, absolute mastery of the instrument, insufflation, respiration and emission of sounds, which had their full affirmation in Debussy’s “Rapsodie” (…). Repeated cheers from the audience for a concert of great artistic and technical value, a complete success that inaugurated the new Festival in the best possible way.
